Description

Filia Sweater is a simple sweater featuring a folded neckband and raglan increases around five ribbed raglan stitches, creating a broad yet subtle raglan detail. The sleeves gradually narrow towards the wrists. The back of the sweater is slightly raised with short rows.

The sweater is knitted top-down, allowing you to adjust the length of both the sleeves and the body.

Sizes

XS (S) M (L) XL

Finished Measurements

Chest circumference: 90 (94) 100 (106) 110 cm

Sleeve length measured from under the armhole: 42 (43) 45 (48) 50 cm

Body length measured at the center back (CB): 48 (50) 52 (55) 56 cm

The sweater is intended to have a positive ease of 0-10 cm.

The model in the picture has a bust measurement of approximately 84 cm and is wearing a size XS with about 8 cm of ease. The recommendation is to aim for a wide ease in the smaller sizes and a narrower ease in the larger sizes.

Materials

175 (200) 200 (250) 250 g Silk Mohair from Isager Yarn 212 m/25 g, Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive 225 m/25 g, or another silk mohair quality, knitted double.

The sweater in the picture is knitted with 2 strands of Silk Mohair color 6 from Isager Yarn.

You can choose a different yarn than the suggested if you match the gauge.

You will also need 9 stitch markers knitting this sweater.

Recommended Needles

The sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch in the round on a 4 mm circular needle (80 cm) with 2 strands held together.

All ribbed edges are knitted on a 3 mm circular needle (80 cm), except for the neckband, which is knitted on a 3 mm circular needle (60 cm).

I recommend the Magic Loop method for knitting the sleeves, the upper part of the yoke, and the sleeve ribbed edges.

If you do not use the Magic Loop method, you will also need a 4 mm circular needle (40 cm) and a 3 mm circular needle (40 cm).

Gauge

19 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 4 mm needles in the round in stockinette stitch.
