Description

The Casia Sweater is a feminine raglan sweater featuring a small lace pattern between the raglan increases and slightly puffed sleeves formed by increases and decreases. The sleeves are three-quarter length, but since the sweater is knitted top-down, you can adjust the length of both the sleeves and the body as desired. The neckline is gently shaped using short rows.

Sizes

XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL)

Finished Measurements

Bust circumference: approximately 90 (94) 100 (106) 110 (115) 119 (123) cm.

Sleeve length measured from underarm: approximately 32 (34) 35 (38) 39 (39) 39 (39) cm.

Body length measured at center back (CB): approximately 46 (48) 51 (54) 55 (55) 56 (57) cm.

The sweater is designed with a movement allowance of 0-10 cm. The model in the photo has a bust measurement of approximately 84 cm and is wearing size XS. The recommendation is to aim for a wide ease in the smaller sizes and a narrower ease in the larger sizes.

Materials

120 (140) 140 (180) 180 (180) 200 (200) g Sensai by Ito Yarn (240 m/20 g) or a similar silk mohair quality, e.g., Deluxe Silk Mohair by Krea Deluxe (240 m/20 g) or Lace by Lang Yarns (310 m/25 g).

You may also choose regular thin silk mohair, such as Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive (225m/25 g), but be aware of the different yardage and that you may need to go down half a needle size for both needle sizes.

The cardigan in the photo is knitted with 2 strands of Sensai in color 330, White.

You can use different yarns if you maintain the correct gauge. In addition to the yarn, you will need 11 stitch markers.

Recommended Needles

The sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch in the round using 4.5 mm (80 cm) circular needles with 2 strands of thin silk mohair. All ribbed edges are knitted using 3.5 mm (80 cm) circular needles.

I recommend the Magic Loop method for knitting the sleeves, the upper part of the yoke, and the ribbed edges. If you don't use the Magic Loop method, you will also need a 4.5 mm (40 cm) circular needle and a 3.5 mm (40 cm) circular needle.

Gauge

19 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 4.5 mm needles in stockinette stitch in the round.
