Composition

Casia Crossover is a feminine and short crossover jacket with raglan, puff sleeves, and a beautiful frontband. The jacket also has a wide ribbed hem that should be placed on the waistline. The hem is held together by 3 buttons on each side – the buttons are visible on the right side, and invisible on the left side of the jacket.

The jacket does not need any final sewing despite the puff sleeves, as they are shaped with the help of in- and decreases.

The jacket is knit top down, so you can easily adjust the length at both the body and sleeves while knitting.

The jacket is supposed to be worn with approx. 0-10 cm positive ease.

Materials

175/200 (200) 200 (225/250) 250 g of Tynn Silk Mohair from Sandnes Garn 212 m/25 g or any other Silk Mohair quality e. g. No. 10 from Önling 210 m/ 25 g or hand-dyed Silk Mohair from Sysleriget 420 m/50 g.

The pictured model is knit with two threads of Tynn Silk Mohair from Sandnes Garn in the color ’Brown Sugar’. If you knit up your jacket in hand-dyed yarn in 50 grams bundles, you must choose the biggest amount of yarn mentioned in your size.

You can choose any other yarn if you obtain the correct gauge.

You will need 7 buttons and 10 stitch markers to knit this jacket.

Needles

The jacket is knit in Stockinette stitch knitting back and forth on a needle size 4 mm (80 cm).

The ribbed hems are knit on circular needle size 3 mm (80 cm).

I recommend double-pointed needles at the beginning of the project when you knit the neckband (the first part of the frontbands).

Gauge

19 sts x 27 rows in stockinette stitch back and forth on needle size 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
